10/10 H

Happy birthday, H!

I wanted to, on this very special day, just celebrate the fact that we have at least 15 years of friendship to look back on and smile about.  No matter the distance between us in time or space, we pick up right where we last left off and begin the chorus of laughter all over again.  You have always stood by my side, encouraging my dreams, celebrating my happiness, and listening to my heart.  I can only hope that I have done the same for you.  Thank you for your amazing friendship.  Here's to the next 15 years as we take this world by storm.  :)

Love you always,
E

I Have No Idea

There's just too much to say for a wonderful day like today.  :)  Great friendship and love = hooray!

(Sorry for the rhyming kick... but not really.)

"Why does my nose itch?"
"Why do I have the hiccups?"
"These are the big life questions we must consider."

Beyond general silliness:

I am just immeasurably grateful for the constancy that is present in these lasting relationships in my life ... where each person, as well as the relationship itself, has room to grow and change with time, but the heart of what makes the pairing special remains rooted in the true spark of where it began.

Boo for cell phone problems.

Yay for love and friendship that makes long distances inconsequential.

5/28/15 Friendship

I'm eternally grateful for the amazing friends in my life.  I am lucky to have people who are willing to move all of my crap down four flights of stairs for some mimosas, donuts, and strawberries, who are willing to wait patiently when most things don't go according to plan, who text and call me incessantly when wonderful things happen in my life, who insist on taking pictures, who get me out and about exploring the world around me, and who always, always, always make me laugh.  Times of change are difficult but they are also when the truest parts of friendship are depended upon, revealed, and celebrated.  Love to you all.

Nothing ever changes between us and that is what makes our friendship so special!  Can you believe that it's been 16 years?!?!  In spite of any distance and amount of time we pick up like we just saw each other yesterday.  I cherish that!!  I am incredibly proud of you for pursuing your dreams.  Your fearlessness has always inspired me and I hope to face the "make or break" moments of my life with your same sense of just jumping into whatever choice you think is best.  I can't wait to see you in real life soon!  <3

Friendship

... is best when time and distance can't change the truest parts of who you are together.  :)

We are not just friends forever. We are sisters. I love you to the moon and back!  You and I have the same spirit and I could not be more grateful to have you in my life.  We are THE worst. :)

Recital Jitters

... I don't have them yet! What?! I'm just really excited to sing for all of the people who are coming and celebrate this accomplishment with them after. :) Vedremo....

Fat Tuesday

Confession: I didn't do my homework tonight. It's Mardi Gras - I lived it up with a friend in the rooftop garden of her smashing new apartment over brie, crackers, salami, grapes, M&Ms, and wine. Definitely part of the good life.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of the Lenten season. Matt Maher's "40 Days" has been stuck in my head for about a week - I'll share it tomorrow. I'm giving up complaining. And maybe added sugar. :)

40 days to die to self..."

I miss you a lot.  This is kind of a general statement, but especially lately.  And not just to talk to, but just to be around.  To laugh with.  Mull things over with.  I've just been looking at all of the pictures on my wall, many of which are of memories we share together.  In a way I want those days back, or I at least want to have a chance to create more soon.  We need to start a travel fund, stat.  :)

Just felt like an open letter tonight.

I don't know.
