I want to cry

And yell

And laugh

All at once!

For I am overcome by

The adoration for life

Awakened within this soul

By the pure taste of

Joy

That loving you brings.

Together

All at once I feel

Intensely within myself

And yet entirely at ease

Stranger Things

The battle is subtle
And at times they even agree
But only momentarily
Before delving back
Across the divide

Head and heart

Neither knows what to make of it
Logic finds equal evaluations
Intuition feels sibling sentiments
The only sum of the totals
Is an inconclusive conclusion

Soul says:
Wait and see.
Stranger things have happened.

Oozing up from a crack

In the surface of my denial --

The fact that I care what you think

And that I'm hurting over

Playing the fool

In spite of my constant self-reassurance

That I'm better off without you.

Jitters
